1.BACKGROUND:
Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of conflict affected population. Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programmes, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.
Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the humanitarian Syrian crisis with capacity development programmes, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities, which we work within, are ready for any future disasters.
2.PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The overall objective of the training is to build the capacity of staff of Orange in Project Management in the development sector (PMD) Pro level one with all stages. The trained staff members will further apply their skills in project/program development and implementation in the given dynamic humanitarian context, to come up with quality projects having greater impact in the lives of those we serve.
3.SCOPE OF WORK
The assignment is to impart four days training on Project Management in the development sector (PMD) Pro level one staff who will further utilize the skills learnt. The scope of the training program will not be limited to project management only, but we will also ensure that they participants understands Orange initiatives and new systems that are in place for effective and efficient programs and how to align the skills to achieve the project goals.
3.1.The training is aimed to achieve following objectives:
3.1.1. To increase knowledge and abilities of the managerial staff
3.1.2. To ensure that the plan, organize, lead and control effectively to achieve what has been proposed and committed in the whole project
3.1.3. To ensure that learnings are linked with Orange initiatives in Turkey
3.1.4. To build and increase the capacity of the selected participants in the project management level.
3.2.METHODOLOGY:
3.2.1. Deliver using a blended learning approach and might comprises of presentations, interactive sessions of practical exercise and group works.
3.2.2. Practical sessions using case project(s), individual or group exercises will be given to participants after each session to make sure that they can apply what they have learnt into practice immediately.
3.2.3. Participatory training methods such as brainstorming, simulation, group discussion and case analysis.
3.3.KEY DELIVERABLES:
3.3.1.Following deliverables are expected from the training provider:
3.3.1.1. Trainer will prepare agenda/contents/sessions of the training and submit these at least one week before start of the training.
3.3.1.2. Contents of the training shall be designed and alleging with PMD PRO certification program
3.3.1.3. Trainer shall conduct pre-test from all participants of the training.
3.3.1.4. Trainer will also share complete package of training material that may be provided to the participants.
3.3.1.5. Trainer will facilitate preparation of training follow up and action plan
3.3.1.6. After the completion of the training, the trainer will share comprehensive training report on the agreed format within 10 days after the completion of the training.
3.3.1.7. The trainer will deliver the training at venue arranged by Orange .
3.3.1.8. The trainer will further guide and help Orange staff in pursuing next levels of their PMD Pro certification.
3.4.LOCATION:
3.4.1. The location will be in Turkey, specific location will be TBD.
3.5.TIMEFRAME
3.5.1. This is a short-term assignment for individual consultants based in Turkey for a period of 4 days. Tentatively this assignment will be in March 2019 (dates shall be confirmed).
3.6.DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
3.6.1. The trainer/consultant/resource person will:
3.6.1.1. Sign with Orange a consultancy agreement and work as a resource person for the 4 days training event.
3.6.1.2. Discuss and agree with Orange on the final training package, content and deliverables.
3.6.1.3. Develop the training contents and the program for the entire duration of the training period and linked the participants with PMD pro certification program.
3.6.1.4. Design an appropriate process of the training leading to the desired results.
3.6.1.5. Propose on the most appropriate training methodology for effective delivery of the assignment.
3.6.1.6. Device the tools required for each session of the training.
3.6.1.7. Satisfactorily facilitate the training sessions and ensuring active engagement of all the participants.
3.6.1.8. Share relevant training materials and provide any resource materials for further reading and reference by Orange staff.
3.6.1.9. Design a questionnaire for pre and post-test (to be used before and after the workshop) for workshops to gauge the level of understanding of the participants about the topics discussed in the training workshop.
3.6.1.10. Compile and submit quality training report (one soft copy)
3.7.SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
3.7.1. The resource person/consultant should possess following qualifications and expertise:
3.7.1.1. PMD Pro certified and active membership
3.7.1.2. Proven experience of conducting trainings on participatory monitoring and evaluation for NGOs/CBOs.
3.7.1.3. Advanced university degree in social sciences/development science.
3.7.1.4. Proven experience of working with INGOs for conducting PM&E trainings
3.7.1.5. Strong communication, analytical and drafting skills
3.7.1.6. Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory – Turkish is desired.
4.SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
4.1.1. Consultant/resource person/ firms are required to submit their technical and financial proposals the Orange HR department on given email ID.
5.TECHINCAL PROPOSAL:
5.1.1. The technical proposal should include but not limited to the following information:
5.1.1.1. A brief outline of recent experience and client references in carrying out assignments of similar nature (Max. 1 pages)
5.1.1.2. Detailed description of how the consultant/firms understands and will respond to the ToR including time frame and number of persons involved in and comments on the ToR (Max 2 pages)
5.1.1.3. Curriculum Vitae of trainer
6.FINANCIAL PROPOSAL:
6.1.1. The financial proposal must contain overall quotation in Turkish Lira (TRY) for all the services to be provided and must follows the following:
6.1.1.1. An all-inclusive day rate who will take place in assignment
6.1.1.2. Summary of the total costs for the services proposed
6.1.1.3. Any taxes applicable
7.PROPOSED PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
7.1.1. 100% of the payment will be released to the trainer after completing the training.
