Turkey: Health Programme Manager - Turkey - Salary $2K-$2.4K per month - Fixed-Term Contract

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.

We are currently recruiting for a Health Programme Manager to join the Human Appeal team at the Charity’s Field Office in Gaziantep, Turkey, paying a competitive salary of $2,000-$2,400 per month, which is negotiable depending on experience of the successful applicant. The primary function of this role would be to support the Head of Programmes in the planning, designing, implementing, supervising, developing and administering the overall Health Programmes in Syria.

The Role:

· Responsible for the implementation of Health interventions, ensuring that the highest standards are respected

· Lead, manage and motivate staff under direct line management, ensuring they have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performances

· Provide guidance and technical information on donor rules and regulations to Health Programmes Staff

· Conduct regular field visits and coordinate with donors and/or suppliers to ensure effective implementation of activities

· Coordinate activities to ensure effective use of time and Human Appeal’s resources

· Supervise the implementation of contracts and project activities to meet timelines and budget limits

· Monitor budget and expenditure based on the implementation plans; and analyse Budget vs Actual reports to assess any discrepancies and ensure timely expenditure

· Work with procurement and logistics department to ensure timely procurement of goods and services for the implementation of Health Programme

· Monitor and evaluate reports; recommend and implement changes to enhance the programmes

· Organise and participate in training of Health staff to ensure their understanding of key programme documents and tools

· Build capacity of the Turkey/Syria team in the design and quality of the Human Appeal Health Programmes

· Provide reports to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner

The Ideal Candidate:

· Graduate in social science/business/international development or any related field, Masters degree or equivalent preferred

· Minimum 3 years of experience in project management in the Humanitarian/Health sector

· Excellent knowledge in Programmes life cycles, proposal writing and concept

· Flexible and able to work under pressure, with excellent organisation and time-management skills

· Demonstrable understanding of issues related to direct aid and international development in the humanitarian context

· Computer literature, competent with Microsoft office and other data management systems

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team

· Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language skills, essential

· Preferably strong level of spoken and written Turkish language skills, desired but not essential

· Must already have the right to work in Turkey
