key responsibilities

(1) Funding Support

  • Conduct donors’ mapping and screening of funding opportunities;
  • Identify and establish relations with key donors;
  • With respect to a potential donor for specific projects, identifies, undertakes briefings, tracks activities and pursues opportunities;
  • Supporting the proposal development, including conceptual, operational, evaluative, and financial aspects as well as identifying potential donors;
  • Supports the monitoring and administration of the project and relationship management;
  • Ensure that reports are submitted on time and are coherent and accurately written (monthly, quarterly, interim and/or final report);
  • Control and support implementation of compliance requirements;
  • Represent the Organization in meetings and public events;

(2) Consortium and Sub-Granting

  • Manage identification and screening of potential partners, sub grantees and consortium members;
  • As per assigned, draft and review MoUs, teaming agreements, contracts, sub-agreements;

(3) Organizational Development

  • Supports the update of donor portfolio and donor funding strategies, including relevant communication materials;
  • Participate in developing monthly and annually plans of Partnerships Department.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of a degree is required in the field of in business administration, international relations or a related field is preferred;
  • At least one-year experience in Syrian-Crisis Context
  • Sense of initiative, discretion, mature judgment and entrepreneurial spirit is required. Capacity to effectively interact with a multiplicity of stakeholders including senior leaders;
  • Proficiency in English (Writing and speaking). Proficiency in Turkish is preferable.
  • Strong presentation, writing and negotiation skills, including the ability to elaborate partnership projects and grant proposals;
  • Must possess an advanced skill in the use of personal computers and related software
  • Trust-worthy and Committed to Teamwork
  • Must possess an ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines, and work well with others in a fast-paced environment;
  • Should be able to organize and prioritize own work with limited supervision;
  • Working flexible hours to engage partners.
