General Description of the Organization:

Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population.

Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programmes, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.

Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the humanitarian Syrian crisis with capacity development programmes, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities, which we work within, are ready for any future disasters.

Job Purpose:

Orange Organization is implementing a livelihoods project in Turkey’s governorates with high population of Syrian refugee. Orange livelihoods Turkey Project aims to improve the capacity of Syrian refugees and secure the linkage with Turkish labour market. The target of the project is to seek 10,000 employment opportunity for youth Syria refugees.

The business consultant will work closely with the Livelihoods Project Manager to develop and enhance the overall project activities. The business consultant will review projects activities and advice about the best practices and approaches to achieve employment target within Turkish labour market.

The business consultant will provide reports about employment facts in Turkish labour market, as well as higher employment gap against sectors and geographical locations.

Duties, objectives and competencies:

· Contribute to the design of the required selection criteria and supervise beneficiaries’ selection process;

· Contribute to the development/ revision of best practice guides, manuals and other technical resources to improve the quality of Orange’s livelihoods project;

· Support other project staff to develop training materials to be in line with the employment market needs;

· Advice about the data collection methods to ensure all required data is considered;

· Produce reports about employment needs against sectors and locations;

· Contribute to the market mapping activities and building of the employment activates data base;

· Work with other staff to support the development of guidance and resource materials that aim to improve livelihoods projects delivery;

· Support the development of the projects’ strategy for livelihoods programming in Turkey and contribute to conduct a stakeholder analysis and identifying potential partnership opportunities, pre-positioning with donors, and developing technically sound proposals;

· Participating in implementing the required needs assessment, and identifying research and evaluation priorities;

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or relevant field of study. MA is preferred;

· At least 4 years of business management experience with proven experience on Turkish market

· Excellent proven technical knowledge of the field of livelihoods;

· Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties and external stakeholders;

· Very good reporting skills;

· Sound judgement and ability to make impartial recommendations;

· Experience in programme development, management and monitoring and evaluation;

· Very good English language skills (spoken, written and reading), Turkish English skills are highly preferred;
