Key responsibilities:
· Quickly and accurately edit content to house style, fact-check and add context to news reports for an international audience
· Rewrite news copy where necessary
· Write feature and news stories
· Continually update live and breaking stories
· Liaise with Arabic and Hebrew news desks
· Build the site’s profile on social media
Requirements:
· Degree in journalism or related field
· Proven ability to write fluent, accurate, and engaging news copy
· Impeccable attention to detail
· A flair for copyediting and headline writing
· Minimum two years’ experience, preferably in a newsroom
· Strong news sense and sound editorial judgment
· Broad knowledge of international affairs
· Ability to work under pressure and to concurrent deadlines
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Willingness to work in a shift structure, including nights, weekends and overtime as required
· International experience and Arabic or Hebrew language skills a strong plus
