Tasks and Activities
Under the supervision of the Regulatory & Compliance Manager, the Regulatory and Institutional Development Senior Officer is responsible for performing the following duties:
Partner’s Institutional Development:
· Support coordination with partner’s management to identify, develop and promote tools, guidelines and best practices for Institutional Development in areas including organizational development issues and organizational growth (strategies, internal policies, etc.).
· Support applying a practical approach to enable partner of taking ownership of the established tools.
· Provide support to organize general assembly and partner’s board meetings.
Gender awareness:
· Work closely with the relevant partner’s stakeholders to conduct gender needs assessment and develop working proposals accordingly.
· Organize learning events around gender with the relevant stakeholders.
Regulatory compliance:
· Support/provide input to the drafting and finalization of any required amendments to MoU, agreements, ensuring legal compliance according to the regulation into force.
· Undertake regular checks to ensure compliance
with the legal framework and the regulatory requirements in every country where the partner operates.
· Support providing coordination with external legal and public accounting consultancy firms when needed.
Others:
· Effectively report on issues that may raise and provide proactive and proper solutions.
· Contribute to a positive working environment by being accessible and available to team members.
· Developing knowledge and information sharing process.
Qualifications, education, experience and competencies.

Education:
· Required: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or Social Sciences or relevant field.
· Desired: Master’s degree in Legal Studies or Social Sciences or Certification/training in Gender Studies.
Experience:
· Minimum 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian activities, including development work in the non-for-profit organization at least 1 year specifically in regulatory compliance and preferred previous experience working in institutional development, and gender awareness.
· Experience working with and supporting implementing partners.
· Competent computing skills and experience in a range of software packages.
· Fluency in Arabic and English or in Arabic and French (Intermediate English is required) languages is essential.
· Turkish language is an advantage.
