General Description of the Program:
The mission of the Organization is to promote, develop, and implement community-based projects in Syria by civil society activists in order to improve the lives of civilians in their communities, mainly inside Syria, and empower them to stand up for their rights. Job duties
- Support in the design, implementation and evaluation of protection-related programs, through direct coordination with program teams in the headquarter and the field team to identify beneficiaries and their needs.
- Develop and implement protection policies and plans in areas such as child protection, SGBV, MRE and education, as part of the protection strategy.
- With close collaboration with the Programs Manager, to coordinate, supervise and manage the performance of the field team to ensure high quality Protection Program activities and timely reporting.
- Make recommendations on improving and enhancing interventions to better identify protection risks to ensure access to protection and education services.
· Ensure service mapping and referral pathways are up-to-date and functioning in the areas of operation.
· Develop and implement protection related forms such as surveys, questionnaires, assessments and other related forms when required.
- Develop reports on monthly basis, quarterly basis, or when required to be submitted to the program manager.
- Build the capacity of the team in the field and the headquarter office through protection training, mainstreaming and related activities.
- Provide advanced support to the field team building their capacity in planning and implementing case management and individual protection assistance activities through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up, and case closure through individual and regular case committee meetings.
· Represent Emissa in attending protection technical working group and cluster meetings, in addition, to liaise and collaborate with other protection actors when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Rights Law, Social Sciences, or any relevant study.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the field of protection, psychosocial support, and gender-based violence.
- Proven experience in conducting or facilitating capacity building activities especially in the areas of child protection, psychosocial support, child safeguarding and gender-based violence, knowledge in educational programs is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to write clear assessment and project technical reports.
- Proven experience in managing teams, remote management is an asset.
- Fluency in Arabic and English language, Turkish language is a plus.
- Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Able to work independently as well as in team to ensure timely results of high quality.
- Capacity and willingness to be flexible in difficult working circumstances.
- Priority to those who possess Turkish nationality.
