We are currently recruiting for an experienced Media Officer to join Human Appeals Field Office in Gaziantep, Turkey, paying a competitive salary of £1300 monthly.
Job Details
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Taking photographs during project implementation and delivery at the project location, as per the media activities specified in the project.
2 Reproducing and framing photographs as per the specified guidelines for projects and donor requirements – as communicated by the programmes team leads.
3 Providing two version of photographs – in low and high resolution and selecting the 30 most relevant photographs to be uploaded and sent to the programmes team as per specification.
4 Conduct recorded interviews with beneficiaries for audit, monitoring and evaluation purposes. And Ensure all beneficiaries have given their consent for all photographs and video documentation, as per the HA regulations.
5 Design brochures, promotional materials, videos related to project as required, which must be signed off by the relevant management personnel using HA high quality logos and branding guidelines.
6 Be responsible for ensuring that both managers and main coordinators
receive video copies of projects activities in a timely manner and according to pre-agreed deadlines and specifications.
7 To ensure a work log of activities has been filled out, enhancing transparency and accountability of work conducted.
8 Prepare Media Annual Report.
9 Organize all Media events, activities related to HA Turkey Office.
10 Any other duties assigned by the Senior Field Officer.

PERSON SPECIFICATION (Education, Experience, Skills. Abilities)
Minimum Requirements:
1 University degree in a related field (Media, Art,…)
2 Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Humanitarian Field and Media Roles.
3 Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other design Programmes, as required.
4 Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Good verbal and written in Arabic and English.
• Preferably in Arabic and Turkish.
5 Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise work to deadlines.
6 Demonstrable understanding of issues related to direct aid and international development in the humanitarian context.
7 Creative and adaptable working, prepared to travel to meetings, conferences and training within Turkey.
8 Punctuality and respect for rules and procedures.
9 Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently, with minimal supervision and well under pressure.
10 Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.
11 Must be able to travel inside Syria on necessary times.
