Location: Antakya, with travel to Gaziantep and field sites

Through our projects, we strive to empower Syrians, especially children, whose lives and dreams have been Originally founded by a group of Syrian volunteers in March of 2012, KP has since grown to become an officially registered NGO in Turkey. Our headquarters are based out of ANKARA- Turkey and the Operation office in Antakya -Turkey with many warehouses and satellite branches throughout Syria. Through our work, we strive to reclaim dreams and rebuild lives that have been stolen away by war.

Purpose of the position: The MEAL Officer will be responsible for providing support to the MEAL Senior Officer on data collection related activities/Tools and backstop of information management for all sector programming. In addition, being a key focal point for Feedback & Complain Mechanism data management and communication.

Primary Responsibilities of this position:

Data collection coordination:

· Provide support to the MEAL Coordinator by coordinating with data collection teams in Syria to carry out data collection activities (including registration monitoring, distribution monitoring, post-distribution monitoring, etc.) for program activities, in order to promote quality programming, accountability and compliance.

· Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure M&E involvement in monitoring partner-led activities for accountability and compliance.

· Lead the review and development of electronic data collection forms for MEAL department and other sectors to assure quality control

· Manage and maintain Feedback & Complain Mechanism and its communication channels in cooperation with field staff to ensure the storage and timeliness of received complaints and responses sent

Information management:

· In coordination with the MEAL Coordinator, supervise Information Management Officer to ensure timely support for entry, cleaning, analysis and visualization (graphs, charts, maps, etc.) of data from data collection activities, as well as contribute to carrying out these functions when needed.

Technical support:

· Train MEAL and/or Program organization staff on use of mobile data collection technology, how to build and use electronic data collection forms, and on use and mainstreaming of MDR in both MEAL and programmatic data collection activities for standardization and improved data quality.

· Provide support to sector Project/Program Manager/s to help them maintain clean data sets and ensure sector databases are compliant with requirements.

Administration:

· Follow-up with Supply Chain/Finance on regular basis to follow-up on departmental purchase requests (PRs), and define specifications for new equipment (phones, tablets, etc.) purchased. Conduct technical reviews to ensure offers received match specifications and requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

· University degree in Social Science, Statistics, or any other related field.

· 3+ year of relevant work experience in related field.

· Previous experience working for NGOs is preferred.

· Previous experience in facilitating remote capacity building and strengthening sessions is preferred.

· Experience with statistical packages such as KOBO and SPSS or any other analytical software.

· Knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes, including SPHERE is preferred.

· Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

· Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills. Fluency in English and Arabic is required
