Hand in Hand for Aid and Development (HIHFAD) is a UK registered charity that has been at the forefront of providing humanitarian aid in Syria since the start of the conflict in 2011.
Established by a group of British-Syrians, the charity has grown to become one of the leading humanitarian actors that serves the Syrian communities both within Syria and in neighbouring countries.
Today HIHFAD employs more than 770 members of staff, including over 800 members on the ground in Syria.
We have two operational offices in Turkey, as well as an international presence in Germany, London, Birmingham and Nottingham.
As the organization grows, it now handles multiple institutional donors such as UN, ECHO, International NGOs and bilateral governmental agencies.
Job Responsibilities:
Trainings materials and planning:
Develop PSEA training time frame and materials according to HIHFAD PSEA policy and guidelines in coordination with HIHFAD protection program and HIHFAD PSEA focal points
Develop PSEA ToT training time frame and training materials according to HIHFAD PSEA policy and guidelines in coordination with HIHFAD protection program and HIHFAD PSEA focal points
Develop PSEA investigation training timeframe and material on according to HIHFAD PSEA investigation guidelines in coordination with protection program and PSEA investigation focal point
Develop training materials on PSEA design of policies; guideline and templates according to PSEA network policies and guidelines
Design a financial plan for planned trainings in coordination with HIHFAD head of program and ensure all training implemented according to HIHFAD finance and logistic policy and guideline
Provide training documentation according to HIHFAD policy in coordination with relevant department and Head of program requirements
Trainings deliver:
Deliver PSEA training in all HIHFAD facilities both Turkey and Syria and include HIHFAD collaborators in coordination with HIHFAD head of program
Deliver training on PSEA ToT for key staff in HIHFAD and include HIHFAD collaborators in coordination with HIHFAD head of program
Deliver PSEA investigation training for HIHFAD code of conduct committee to support them fulfill their role according HIHFAD investigation guideline
Coaching and monitoring:
Provide coaching role for HIHFAD staff in regards of PSEA specifically for key staff who will receive the ToT training to support them conduct follow up trainings for staff when needed
Provide coaching role to HIHFAD code of conduct committee in regards of PSEA investigation guidelines
Knowledge and Qualifications:
· Legal status: Ability to access to Syria on monthly bases
· Education: social studies; law or relevant studies
· Experience: at least 3 years of protection related experience; at least 2 years of training implementation role; and 1 year of PSEA related experience
· Training Certificate: PSEA training; PSEA TOT and PSEA investigation is plus
· Knowledge: awareness and understanding of safeguarding practice and policy
· Language: English and Arabic
