Job Purpose**

To perform liaison functions between the organization and Turkish Government Agencies (USG), advocating for the organization’s interest and developing projects for the organization in Turkey. The GRO will create strong relationships, and foster the existing relationships with the Turkish Government while developing/implementing strategies to secure support/funding for the furthering objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Development:
• Conduct ongoing research in the development of new and modifications of existing opportunities, ensuring that the Coordinator is aware of all program statements, calls for proposals, and concept notes request.
• Maintain a good relationship with the Turkish Government agencies/ministries.
• Coordination with the TG to facilitate the border crossing between Syrian and Turkey for the organization staff
• Ensure that all requirements for maintenance of the organization’s registration, and any other documentation necessary for non-profit status are met.
• Facilitate TG & Corporate relations, ensure ongoing relationship management and Government visit facilitation in different cities.
• Develop relationships with Turkish Government Agencies that pertains to IhsanRD programs
• Assist in developing the organizational profile with TG.
• Represent the organization at official functions and any membership organization meetings as required, and sign protocols with the TGA in accordance with the projects’ implementation, by coordination with the programs department.
• Work with membership groups as determined by the Coordinator.
• Work within the frameworks of the organization to raise the visibility of IhsanRD within the TG and community.
• Respect and apply all the PSEA principles, and show high commitment to report any SEA action

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development/Relations, Public Policy, Government Relations, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Ability to create written content in Turkish at a highly advanced level.
• Fluency in Turkish along with English or Arabic (written and spoken)

Desirable:

• Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related discipline
• Five years of professional experience in the humanitarian field focusing on communications, media or public relations
• Fluency in Turkish, English, and Arabic (written and spoken).
