And we never give up.

I. Background and Purpose of Assignment

The Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO) is implementing the organization-wide Digital Workplace Project, which requires migration of existing content to a new digital platform and creation of new sites. This process provides a valuable opportunity for rationalizing the knowledge management systems across regional and country offices.

A new communication page will be set-up as the new intranet platform for ECARO with key guidelines, documents and knowledge resources around the regional office annual priorities. Collaboration sites will be developed as well for ECARO team-working and sharing.

A situation analysis site will be set-up to bring together data from the analysis that come from a variety of sources. This site will contain the summary of findings and recommendations from the situation analysis to easily access information for policy and programme work.

Under the guidance and supervision of the Knowledge Management Specialist in UNICEFs’ Regional Office, the intern will provide support to activities undertaken within the framework of the current Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Section Work Plan. The following section will describe the tasks that the intern is expected to contribute to.
