Scope of Responsibility and Supervision

Editors in the Civil Defense

Contract type: Temporary - Three months (the duration can be extended up to six months. .

Probation period: one month.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Publishing reports, data and articles for the official website of the Syrian Civil Defense

• Managing official website content

• Designing and approving duties for editors in the media division and following up on progress

• Assessing the training needs of the editorial staff and propose appropriate training.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree provided necessary experience is available (Preference for Journalism or Media and Communication university graduated)

• Preference for individuals holding Turkish citizenship

Experience

• Minimum 5-years work experience in the field of journalism

• Previous experience in website and online editing

Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to write and edit texts with high attention for details

• Ability to distribute tasks and team leadership

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to deal with persons of different backgrounds

• Ability to suggest and oversee the implementation of creative ideas from inception to publication

• Ability to provide solutions to problems relating to editing and publishing

Computer Skills

• Microsoft office program

• Knowledge of principles for website SEO

Language Skills

• Intermediate level English

• Fluent in Arabic
