Turkey: Program Assistant-Nutritionist

SRD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury and displacement. Our Mission is to provide crisis humanitarian relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria. Our Vision is to maintain humanitarian relief and mobilize resources to develop a comprehensive agenda for sustainable development in Syria.

Main Objectives of this Position:

· Collect information on public health and provide input to projects

· Assist to ensure the project activities are implemented in line with the project goal, objective and work plans.

· Assist to regularly monitor progress of project implementation and conduct assessments of the health needs of the community and prioritize project activities based on findings.

· Ensure accurate collection and analysis of data. compile epidemiological reports for inclusion in project situation reports and any other patient reports.

· Help to ensure that the project expenditure is within the agreed and approved budget, and conduct expenditure against budget monitoring on monthly basis

· Together with the field, Project and program Managers responsible for the encouraging community participation in health activities to ensure the long term ownership and effectiveness of the program

· Ensure the medical supplies stocks are sufficient and that drugs are stored and used correctly.

· Help in preparing project monthly, quarterly, midterm and final reports for submission to Project Managers on timely manner

· Where appropriate, work closely with partner organizations in completing the above tasks.

· Any other relevant tasks upon the request of Direct Manager.

Skills and Qualification:

· · Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic, Turkish is also an asset

· · Experience in administrative work, administrative support within the aid sector would be an advantage

· · Medical degree preferably in nutrition

· · Experience or training in Nutrition program

· · Experience working with NGOs or international organizations preferable

· · Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· · Data management and analysis skills

· · Ability to work well as a team & independently

· · Comfortable to both work independently and take initiative as well as cooperatively with team members

· · Demonstrated high level of flexibility, responsiveness, and reliability

· · Strong work-ethic and hard-working

· · Ability to work under pressure and strong time management skills to meet both short-term and long-term objectives

· · Strict adherence to humanitarian and Protection principles and standards, as well as organizational policies including Code of Conduct and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and Child safeguarding. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
