General Description of the Organization:
Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population. Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programmes, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.
Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the humanitarian Syrian crisis with capacity development programmes, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities, which we work within, are ready for any future disasters.
Job Purpose:
The candidate will be responsible for drafting and editing proposal sections, compiling supporting documents, supporting in monitoring the reporting progress from programmes side, reviewing and vetting RFPs to assist with methodological tool development and capacity statement development. In addition, this inter will assist in maintaining databases and improving business development processes. This position will report to the Grants officer and indirect reporting to the Grants Director.
Duties, objectives and competencies:
· Writing and Editing Proposals and supporting documents, applying initiative and strong writing skills articulate clear, persuasive messages.
· Supporting Proposal Development and assisting with methodological tool development, team assembly, and capacity statement drafting.
· Reviewing RFPs to assist with vetting opportunities and gleaning essential information to incorporate into proposal development.
· Communicating and coordinating with the programmes team to ensure technical information is accurate and integrated into proposals.
· Meeting timelines for deliverable and communicating delays as necessary.
· Maintaining and updating consultant and project databases and workflow management software.

· Adhere fully to the commitments and rules of Orange’s Code of Conduct.
· Undertake any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Grants officer/director.
Requirements:
· Fluency in English required, knowledge of Arabic desirable.
· Strong writing skills in English.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Able to meet strict deadlines and organize time well.
· Able to communicate effectively with team members who may be working remotely.
· Hard-working, proactive and able to prioritise and delegate a demanding workload.
· Knowledge of the Syrian Crisis and similar contexts will be an advantage.
This position is office-based in Gaziantep not remote which requires physical attendance. After this internship, will be followed by a full time-staff contract based on the performance of the intern.**
