Role Purpose:
You will support and supervise the implementation of project activities, supporting partners, data collection, organizing evaluations and support communications activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as hands-on supervisor for daily case management and psycho-social activities performed by the case workers in the field and provide direct.
- Participate in the development of the basic case management and Psychosocial Support (PSS) tools and resources, GBV information materials, and PSS activities for women and girls in target communities, and support their implementation.
- Monitor field work and support case workers to identify and implement timely, survivor-centered and age-appropriate case management services and psycho-social support to all clients.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all services available to GBV survivors and vulnerable women and girls to initiate, oversee and ensure proper use of the referral pathway in the provision of case management services, and ensure tools are in place and active follow up on referred cases to ensure timely response.
- Lead weekly case review meetings with case workers and case conferencing meetings on as needed basis to troubleshoot more complex cases and ensure best support for the client.
- Oversee data collection through information gathering system, M&E tools and systems, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and GBV best practice principles.
- Analyze the information about GBV incidents and clients accessing the services, and make recommendations to improve service delivery.
- In coordination with the protection coordinator, maintain work plans to achieve activities.
- Support capacity building and coordination by delivering training sessions to the case workers on basic case management principles, PSS, GBV core concepts and guiding principles, PFA, and highlight any key information necessary to ensure services remain relevant to women and girls.
- Maintain regular attendance at internal staff coordination meetings in coordination with the supervisor.
- Provide ongoing supervision, support, mentoring and guidance to Case workers to ensure service delivery meets the highest quality standards and adheres to GBV best practice and guiding principles.
- Assist in proposal’s writing.
- Making sure of recruiting high skilled staff for the project in a good and timely manner in addition to make them aware of the followed policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SEMA’s quality of work.
- Promote and model a positive, professional and respectful office culture.
- Any other duties assigned by line manager when required.
Qualification, Experiences and Competencies:
- A Bachelor degree from a recognized university ( preferably B.A holders of ; education, sociology, psychology, gender studies or human rights ) with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position and duties in NGOs or INGOs
- Strong Knowledge in counselling and training experience with women and girls (particularly IDPs and refugees).
- High level of understanding gender and women’s protection issues.
- Rich experience in Project management methodologies and standards (preferably Project Management for Development certificate would be an asset),
- Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
- People management skills that include diplomacy
- Good ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize works, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details.
- Ability to work with diverse people, communities, and cultures, with an understanding of cultural awareness practices.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
