CCCM Project officer

The CCCM Project officer will work under supervision of Programme Manager for start-up, ongoing management, and continuing development of all daily activities under MHD’s CCCM Project for the IDP and Non-IDP Settlements inside of Syria.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with programme manager on preparing the work plan of the project activities and managing the field team.
2. Ensures project targets are met according to work plan deadlines, and that the project is adequately resourced to carry out effective programming.Supervising graveling works, rain water drainage channels, building the camp fence, and building bathrooms.
3. Follow up the waste holes construction
4. Supervising the work of isolating and raising the floors of tents and lighting with solar energy
5. Preparing the needed updates of the field activities and share it with Programme Manager .
6. Participating in preparing the needed weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports.
7. Follow up the field team activities daily basis and monitor the immediate achievements.
8. Provide the field team with the needed orientation, information, support and tasks.
9. Works with the Programme manager , filed Team, operations, finance, and security staff to ensure that all project activities adhere to MHD and international Humanitarian standards and principles.
10. Ensuring that the project team with full knowledge about the CCCM guidelines and standards including Global CCCM policies and Standards.
11. Follow up implanting the project activities based on the timeline of the activities to ensure delivering the needed information and reports accordingly.
12. Coordinate with CCCM cluster team to ensure that all the project activities
13. Ensures that MHD provides quality services that meet Sphere, Global CCCM Policies, HLP, and other international standards.
14. Participating in Preparing the needed reports and updates based on the CCCM cluster requests.
15. Working closely with MEAL team to produce charts, reports, map, and other needed information or reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A bachelor’s degree Civil Engineer, Water and Sanitation Engineer,. Post-graduate degree is desirable.
2. Experience (2-3 years) with I/NGOs in terms of Humanitarian Response and other Interventions.
3. Experience with CCCM working groups and CCCM standards and principles.
4. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
5. Experience working in dynamic, insecure environments and with local communities.
6. Ability function at a high capacity within a collaborative organizational structure.
7. Understanding of the political and cultural context in Syria.
8. English language skill is very good, Arabic is essential

Personality:

• · Proactive with good communication skills. Ability to work within team and under pressure.
• · Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and set priorities
• · Adherence to MHD Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles
