The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Gaziantep, Turkey.
As Transparency and Compliance Officer you will ensure compliance with Welthungerhilfe's Code of Conduct in the Country Office and will provide technical support and capacity building to staff. Furthermore, you will participate in internal & external audits and due dilligence preparation and follow-up.
Your responsibilities
- Provide technical support to all Country Office departments and ensure implementation of action plans to mitigate identified risks
- Support in the preparation, execution and follow up of external audits and due diligences in close collaboration with respective departments in Head Office and Country Office
Control the monthly flow of documentation from the field offices and partners to the Country Office and verification of general documentation compliance
Support in compiling, filing and checking all project related financial, logistic, administrative, HR, and programme information (including documentation from the field offices and the partners)
Train field office staff as well as implementing partners in the external audit preparation and about Welthungerhilfe's Code of Conduct
Contribute to proactive dissemination and use of knowledge gained through audit activities
Participate in minimizing risk of fraud and corruption by ensuring adherence to Welthungerhilfe procedures and Welthungerhilfes Code of Conduct
Identifying compliance violations
Actively promote Welthungerhilfes anti-fraud and whistle blowing policy within all Welthungerhillfe offices in country
Your profile
- A university or polytechnic degree in law, finance or a similar field suited to the position
- At least 5 years professional experience in a similar position, preferably in a non-profit organization
- Coordination, communication and organization skills – even under a high workload
- Absolute confidentiality and credibility towards internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent spoken and written English and Turkish, Arabic would be an asset
