About NSPPL:
The National Syrian Project for Prosthetic Limbs aims to help people who have undergone amputations as a result of Syrian War by providing them with prosthetic body parts and the appropriate rehabilitation. Established in February 2013 by a group of Syrian doctors living overseas, NSPPL is a non-profit organization serving people in Syria and Turkey.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Basic ability of prosthetic and orthotic cases assessment and prescription.
- Producing prosthesis and the orthotics for lower limbs prosthesis and upper limbs prosthesis, lower limbs orthotics and upper limbs orthotics, spinal orthoses for all their stages under the supervision of senior technicians.
- Gait cycle training of beneficiaries on using orthotic and prosthetic devices
- Maintenance and repairing all the previous orthoses and Prostheses under the supervision of senior technicians.
- Scheduling patients’ appointments
- Checking the availability and validity of the necessary medical reports.
- Identify problems and work to fix them to ensure beneficiaries are satisfied with provided devices.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Certificate in orthopedic prosthetics and orthotics from a Turkish university.
- At least 1-year of related experience.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate in Arabic and English is preferable.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
