NRC is looking to recruit an AREA MANAGER for our Syria Response Office in Gaziantep, Turkey.
NRC in the Middle East has become one of the largest providers of assistance to those affected by the war in Syria.
In order to respond to the needs of people in the region we are looking for a motivated candidate to ensure high quality and cost effective programme/project implementation within the designated geographical area.
Brief Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Line management for senior project staff and support functions in the area.
- Assess needs, develop and lead the implementation of emergency response plans.
- Provide input on Core Competency Strategies, Country Strategy and Annual Plans of Action.
- Resource management.
- Oversight of staff security and safety.
- Represent NRC and liaise with authorities, donors and humanitarian actors in the area.
- Provide regular input to advocacy initiatives.
- Oversight of staff training.
- Ensure organisational activities are implemented in line with NRC's protection plans.
Candidates for this position will be expected to travel and must therefore have no visa restrictions for travel within the region.
We offer
- Commencement: January 2016
- Contract period: 12 months.
- Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s general directions.
- Duty station: Gaziantep, Turkey
