1- Background:
Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve Syrian community stability and resilience.

2- Job purpose:
The Education project manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating, the implementation of formal and non-formal education projects in northwest Syria in line with Ghiras Al-Nahda policies and procedures.

3- RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Follow-up daily with the field teams including team leader with the detailed implementation of activities, challenges and amendments if any.
● Follow-up of project implementation in all phases, work plan and schedule, distribution plan, checking students and teachers lists, prepare the flyers, forms, reports ... etc.
● Ensure that the implementation of activities is in the line with Ghiras Al-Nahda policies and procedures.
● Prepare/raise procurement requests (PRs) as needed based on project procurement plan.
● Contribute to developing ToRs for putting in place procurement and distribution plans, project monitoring system, regular situation update, and reporting. Any decisions that impact on the project activities are made in conjunction with/referred to the programs' coordinator.
● Liaise internally with all support departments to ensure the smooth implementation of the project, in compliance with internal and donor's regulation.
● Support preparation, implementation, and monitoring of education activities, and ensure that all project-related information is organized and accessible.
● Work closely with the MEAL Coordinator to develop monitoring and evaluation tools and plans related to project activities.
● Review the complaints with the accountability focal point to find better solutions.
● Following up with protection teams in schools and child protection focal points, and provide technical guidance on facilitation skills, and PSS key messages and communication skills.
● Ensure strong coordination and information sharing of the project activities to beneficiaries and different stakeholders.
● Document in a timely manner, all progress, challenges, and learning for future implementation of similar projects and accountability.
● Support the draft of donor narrative reports and other internal program reports and submit to the programs' coordinator for finalization.
● Any other duties assigned by the line manager within the scope of work.

4- QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
● At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in developing and implementing different education programs to improve education quality.
● Strong understanding about the context, conflict and security situation in Syria, previous experience in Syria strongly preferred.
● Knowledge of the political, humanitarian, and education sector dynamics within the Syrian context.
● Excellent time management, follow-up, problems solving and coordination skills.
● Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, outlook, etc.).
● Good organizational skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with full attention to details.
● Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English.

● Computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
● Communication skills.
● Time management ability.
● Problems-solving skills.
● Flexibility/Adaptability.
