TIYYD is in search of a Human Resources consultant to help us further develop our department and improve our operating policies and procedures. We are looking for someone to help us lay a strong foundation to build off of based on human resources best practices and TIYYD work culture.
SCOPE OF WORK
Conduct internal audit of current TIYYD human resources capacity, policies and procedures already in place. Projects may include (but are not limited to):
Drafting TIYYD Human Resource manual and all relate policies and procedures
Creating:
Core competencies framework
Performance evaluation system
Recruitment and Hiring selection process
Identify key areas of work and establish priorities for gaps identified, including the drafting and completion of policies and procedures
Create a development plan to address agreed priorities within timeframe
Work with Director of Operations throughout the process,ensuring TIYYD work culture is reflected throughout all projects
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: THE ESSENTIALS
Proven experience of HR experience in non-profit sector
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Turkish highly preferred
Extensive experience with the Turkish labor laws and procedures
BSc/BA/MSc in Human Resources or related field; further training will be a plus
English & Arabic advanced proficiency required
Turkish Citizen or Turkish issued Residency Permit, Istanbul or Reyhanli Kimlik
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: STRONGLY PREFERRED
Turkish language proficiency
Experience in organizational development
Experience working on Syria and or humanitarian crises
TIME FRAME: 3 months
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
LOCATION: Remote with travel (as needed) to Istanbul upon opening of Karam House Istanbul
HOURS: 30 hours a week
COMPENSATION: Based on the candidate's level of experience, qualifications, and the organization's salary scale in Turkish Lira.
