About MIDMAR:
MIDMAR is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organization registered in Gaziantep (Turkey) and Paris (France), dedicated to empowering individuals and communities affected by crises. Thereby, we particularly focus on the Syrian and other societies in the Middle East and Arab region, as well as on host communities and the diaspora in countries further afield.
As a Syrian civil society-focused diaspora organization with profound experience in the humanitarian and development field, we believe that supporting local communities’ capacity development and resilience is the key to unlock their potential to drive broad-based inclusive and society-led change. Position: HR Assistant
Location: Turkey / Gaziantep

Responsibilities:
Employment Contracts & Recruitment:
- Management of personnel files, monitoring, and tracking of all records related HR with all required signatures (personnel documents, leave forms, contracts, job descriptions, approval emails, earnings/deductions, promotions, adjustments, etc.)
- Assists in the development and update of HR / Admin policies
- Responsible for timely management of all staff contracts and necessary extensions and amendments.
- Must lead the recruitment administration processes.
- Publishes the job advertisements. Review and track all CV’s and applications.
- Creates shortlisting of all potential candidates & shares with related Hiring Manager.
- Prepares necessary vetting documents and completes Reference Checks.
Development and Evaluation:
- Makes timely performance evaluation of the supervised staff.
- Monitor employee training and completion, when necessary.
- Provides expertise and guidance to all staff in the office: supervisors and staff in the office who may need HR advice.
Filing:
- Ensures all filing systems are in place and up to date for all HR functions.
- Ensures the confidentiality of all the documents related to personal files.
- Update and compile all HR-related files.
Payroll & Timesheet Administration:
- Manages all leave requests and leave the filing system.
- Monitors timesheets accuracy by managing leave filing system efficiently.
- Providing training where required for staff on leave request administration & timesheets.
- Prepares monthly payroll and all supporting materials.
- Create Salary slips and related documents for all employees.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- At least 1-years work experience in HR, or relevant field.
- Proven reporting skills
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, word.
- English: B1 (Reading, writing, conversation).
- Excellent time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure.
