Syria Relief & Development (SRD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury and displacement. Our Mission is to provide crisis humanitarian relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria. Our Vision is to maintain humanitarian relief and mobilize resources to develop a comprehensive agenda for sustainable development in Syria.
Main Objectives of this Position:
• Coordinate with health team to prepare procurement plans based on available inventory.
• Participate in proposal writing to draft the medical commodities needs.
• Update master pharmaceutical, consumables and equipment lists for each facility level with updated market prices.
• Follow up consumption reports with field pharmacist on regular basis in addition to regular spot check and physical counting.
• Insure all facilities have buffer stock from the essential medical supplies lists.
• Write reports regarding medical supplies for each project as per donor regulation.
• Manage pharmacist and insure all pharmacies are well equipped.
• Monitoring pharmacist work and do the needed check list to insure proper medication handling.
• Conduct trainings for pharmacist in health facilities on stock management according to WHO standards.
• Technical check for medication and medical equipment procured, and to perform prequalification visits for suppliers when needed.
• Represent the SRD in Supply line meeting and other relative meetings.
Required qualifications and Skills:
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English / Turkish language is preferred.
• Masters Microsoft Office “Excel, Word and PowerPoint”.
• at least 2 years’ experience working with pharmaceuticals in NGOs/INGOs.
• Ability to remote manage of others.
• Adherence to Timelines.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work with other and to work under pressure.
