Tasks and Responsibilities of the Job
- Make plans and rules to secure BAHAR Organization facilities and its staff including the volunteers and the visitors from the risks that they may be exposed to.
- Study and examine the type of work in BAHAR Organization and show the security advice and observations.
- Evade BAHAR Organization the problems related to security aspects continually.
- Depend upon reliable security sources to get the correct information before giving security advice and instructions.
- Supervise raising security awareness among the BAHAR Organization staff inside Syria. Establish the main security principles of the mission office in Afrin and observe implementing them personally.
- Establish the main security principles of the office inside Syria and all BAHAR Organization offices and order to be implemented, and also observe how much the staff is committed to throughout the periodic reports he receives.
- Make a security plan in case of an emergency.
- Care for the safety of all staff and to manage the guards in the centers.
- Respond immediately and react to urgent situations.
- Investigate accidents to find out the reasons, and order what is necessary to avoid happening again.
- Provide the head of the department a complete continuous vision of the security situation of all BAHAR Organization offices and centers inside Syria.
- Coordinate with the HR department regarding the health and vocational safety of the staff.
- Keep up with the latest security novelties and updates in both Tukey and Syria.
- Make sure that all the staff is strict to implement the safety rules to ensure vocational safety for all.
- Make sure that all the equipment and personal protection tools are applicable and valid in all BAHAR Organization offices and centers. To make an assessment and risk analysis in all offices.
Abilities, Qualification, and Personal Skills
- BS in political science or law or English Literature
- Security studies, politics or law
- Fluent in English (strong written skills).
- Fluency in Arabic and English and the ability to work in a team.
- High communications skills.
- Technical experience in law and security related issues.
- Knowledge of armed groups, ideologies, and deep history of the conflict.
- Technical knowledge in managing security systems (including technology i.e CCTV cams, alarm systems, and so on).
- Advanced computer skills especially in MS Office, Power BI, Kobo, and GiS programs.
