About SENED
SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.
Job Purpose
Based in Gaziantep, Turkey, the driver is under the line management of the logistic Officer. He/She will be responsible for undertaking various transportation duties and typically work for hotels and delivery services. Their primary responsibilities include transporting passengers from airports to hotels, carrying out vehicle maintenance checks, and interacting with passengers in professional conduct.
Key Activities/Tasks/Duties
Transport passengers from airports to hotels and vice versa.
Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks.
Delivering packages to customers in a timely manner.
Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.
Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
Interacting with clients in professional conduct.
Working at night and on weekends.
Maintaining an organized travel schedule.
Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
Arranging for vehicle maintenance when necessary.
Updating monthly mileage records.
Driving a variety of vehicles, including motorbikes, cars, buses and trucks.
Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
Essential
§ Institute or University degree minimum.
§ Five years of experience in a similar position. Two years’ experience in an NGO will be an added value.
§ Fluent in Turkish and Arabic.
§ Turkish National.
§ Resident in Gaziantep (the candidate should be very well aware of Gaziantep city)
Desirable
§ Proven experience in humanitarian work and principles.
§ Basic knowledge in English.
§ Proven experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
