Job Purpose
To oversees all internal and external communications for the organization, ensuring its message is consistent and engaging. Its main duties include preparing detailed media reports, press releases, and outreach materials. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to serving Syrian civilians and give them a loud voice. The ideal candidate is a team player and a brave and responsible change maker.
Responsibilities
- Develops content and directs creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message.
- Builds and maintains solid partnerships with various stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet objectives.
- Designs campaigns to target specific audiences, placing an emphasis and discipline on campaign performance to help with recommendations for future programs.
- Directs internal and external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production specialists integral to the completion of projects and campaigns.
- Contributes ideas for new programs, researching and recommending innovative organization branding techniques.
- Researches and understands key challenges, audience behavior, target audiences, and environmental factors that impacts programs within the organization’s departments.
- Provides support across departments, paying close attention to timelines and messages.
- Identifies and presents opportunities for consistency in messaging across digital and other channels.
- Develops an understanding of short- and long-term department goals and planned initiatives.
- Adjusts and communicates plan changes to teams across the department as necessary to ensure implementation of production plans.
- Works with leadership to take the pulse of overall organization activity to identify windows of opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Stays informed of developments in the field of marketing and communications within the industry to foster ideas and innovation.
- Develops and integrates communications plans for emergencies and crises.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
A. Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or other relevant fields.
- At least two years of management experience (Small or medium size team)
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced crisis environment
- Fluency level in Arabic and English.
B. Desirable:
- Master’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, or other relevant fields.
- Master’s degree in Communications or Non-profit management.
- Fluency in Turkish.

- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally
