Summary:
To manage the malnutrition collected data and to ensure that it flows timely and securely., Guide the Project staff, coordinate with all units and follow up on their specific needs.
Responsibilities:**
- To design forms, surveys and line lists, and databases.
- To train and guide field staff on using forms and templates.
- To receive files of reported cases of Malnutrition from the field and Follow up Malnutrition cases reported along.
- To troubleshoot data entry errors and clean data by dealing with missing, duplicates, and outliers.
- Design and implement safe and effective procedures for handling and analyzing data with attention to all technical aspects.
- Formulate rules and procedures for sharing data with senior management and with external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze data and information systems and evaluate their performance to discover new ways to improve them (new technologies, updates, etc.)
- Ensure the integrity of databases from security breaches and data loss.
- Correct and address data related problems and assist in controlling systems maintenance and updates budget.
- To apply different methods and procedures to ensure data quality standards.
- To maintain line lists of reported cases.
- To develop interactive data visualizations and interpretations using tableau or power BI.
- to maintain backups of all files and databases to avoid data loss.
- To generate maps for better representation of data.
- To generate ad-hoc summarization and reports on a weekly basis.
- To support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with all units and follow up on their specific needs
- Prepare relevant reports as required by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in IT, computer science or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in info
- English language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing)
- knowledge in the work of INGO and LNGOs
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution and visualization)
- Experience in programming
- Working knowledge of public health database applications
- MS Excel, Familiarity in dealing with datasets, Filtering data, Sorting data, Ability to aggregate data, column expansion, adding headers to datasets, familiarity with Pivot tables.
- MS Word: Organizing Word documents, Text formatting, Document layout, dealing with tables, Ability to prepare word documents with excellent formatting.
- Power BI/Tableau: Decent knowledge of interactive visualization tools. Ability to produce online interactive reports and maps based on collected data
