Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Preferred Bachelors and Masters in International Development, International Relations, or related Social Science, SPHERE certification preferred
Relevant experience would be considered.
General Work Experience:
2-5 years’ experience of engaging with key Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) both nationally and
internationally. Can develop and build mutually beneficial partnerships, advocating strategies to accelerate the deployment of Syria Relief and improve the awareness and understanding of Syria Relief in key markets/sectors.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:**
Networking and Partnerships
· Assist in developing and implementing global NGO partnership strategy as aligned with and contributing to the overall organizational strategic objectives.
- Act as an ambassador for Syria Relief - actively promoting the services of the charity through appropriate channels and at appropriate platforms; upholding and promoting the charity’s values and ethos
- Take responsibility for effective communication with donors, partner organizations in the interest of creating new and maintaining old partnerships
- Actively build and cultivate relations on a local and international level, with stakeholders and partners, to further the goals of the charity and maintain a strong interagency network
- Remain up to date on funding opportunities which may be relevant to Syria Relief, and keep programmes staff up to date – including networking and knowledge-sharing
- Negotiate donor contracts and analyze the results and risks of contracts to ensure that agreements put in place are effective and beneficial to the organizational
- Support the development of partnerships on track with funding goals for Syria Relief
- Ensure good communication and understanding of donor requirements within the organization
- Advance capacity building of organization through partner/donor relations and facilitation of capacity assessments
- Work closely with Programmes Department for satisfactory implementation of donor projects, and in building strategies to advance operations
- Attend NGO and Cluster meetings, provide a weekly newsletter of meeting highlights and recently released reports and data
Program Development
· Work closely with Program team and Inside Offices to develop strategy for new project development which are appropriate to needs and context allowing for Needs led approach to proposal development
· Work closely with Head of Programmes and program staff to develop concept notes, proposals review reports for writing quality.
