Objectives:
The project manager directly supervises the implementation of all project activities with the follow-up of the field team, in addition to making periodic visits to Syria where the project is being implemented, as well as writing completion reports, reviewing, evaluating and funding, preparing reports, and submitting 4Ws, In addition, to be able to contribute writing new project proposals.
Responsibilities:
• Support planning and coordination of Project and its activities.
• Help build positive relations within the team and stakeholders.
• Ensure implementation of policies and practices.
• Create presentations, summaries and helping materials to ensure better communication.
• Monitor and approve project expenditures.
• Support program department growth and development as necessary.
• Writing proposals in coordination with related departments.
• Facilitate positive relations between project team.
• Oversee the program budget, including tracking billing, payments and other financial transactions.
• Ensure proper planning and timely implementation of all activities within the area of responsibility, including planning, implementation, follow-up and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with other teams in relevant department.
• Prepare donor mapping.
• Submit weekly plan, monthly reports, activities included all achievement and activities to programs manager.
• Data management in coordination with relevant department.
• Supporting the department's development process.
• Preparing infrastructure drawings for multi-sectoral project (WASH, ERL, and SNFI) in coordination with the field team.
• Direct supervision of project activities through traveling to Syria (Able to travel).
• Skill and ability to closely coordinate with partners.
• Experience in multi-sectoral infrastructure projects (WASH, ERL and SNFI), knowledge of challenges, difficulties, and skill to overcome them smoothly and easily.
• Comply to donor's requirements of reports, meetings and files to support the implementation of the project in accordance to donor's requirements in coordination with the Programs Manager to ensure timly submission.
• Experience in multi-sectoral projects and their activities (WASH, ERL and SNFI) especially infrastructure and knowledge of standards and guidelines of related activities under those sectores.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Engineering University degree, or equivalent experience; At least 3 years of total experience in humanitarian or development programs in the Syrian context.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to give effective feedback and to guide and mentor direct reports.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent writing skills in English and demonstrated the ability to write and edit reports and proposals under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the humanitarian and development sectors, and experience with and knowledge of humanitarian standards.
- Proven high experience to manage a field team directly and remotely
- Proven high skills to deal with sub-implementing partners.
- Proven skills in leading, reporting, analyzing, and problem-solving.
Language Preference:
Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in English.
Required to be able to communicate at a Fluent level (written and verbal) in Arabic.
