General objective of the position:
The Speech and Hearing Therapy technician is responsible for examining the patients and developing treatment plan for beneficiaries and collecting statistical data and submitting reports
Main tasks and responsibilities:
· Examine the patient and determine the level of speech and hearing impairment
· Developing a treatment plan for patients who suffer from difficulty in articulation, treatment time programs, and following up on the patient’s performance.
· Training the patient on exercises for treating some speech disabilities
· Training and education of patients whose injuries are associated with aphasia resulting from brain damage. They are in urgent need of speech training under the supervision of a speech specialist in addition to their physical therapy.
· Training children with hearing impairments, stuttering, aphasia, Down syndrome, and autism disorder.
· Collecting statistical data in the field of speech disabilities
· Apply general safety principles and rules during work and infection control procedures
· Participate in assessing the centre’s need for training and equipment.
· Submit reports for patients with speech disabilities
· Performing any other tasks assigned to it within his competence
THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Qualifications required
· University degree in Medical Science (Speech and hearing therapy).
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Services (Rehabilitation Counselors)
Languages
· Fluency written and spoken in Arabic
