MedGlobal is an international medical non-profit organization providing health services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Turkey Health Program and Development Manager will be responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of the health programs and operational activities, and all subsequent expansion/extension as required, as well as adherence to logistics, human resources, administration, and security procedures. The Health Program and Development Manager will be responsible for the overall management and technical direction of all MedGlobal Medical programs in Turkey and Syria. This position works in conjunction with the on-site program manager.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Implementation And Development
Work with others in the team to develop a quality of practice in the MedGlobal program in Syria and Turkey.
Work with other team members to deliver a range of projects to support health programs sustainability.
Develop new projects and fundraise for this work with others in the team.
Support proposal writing.
Support networking with the UN agencies , INGOs ,NGOs and donors.
Support the due diligence process of the organization.
Train and guide the team on program development.
Implement on-going projects and programs and leading program development opportunities related to health, nutrition, and any other areas, including ongoing assessment needs in Turkey and Syria in coordination with, and under the instruction and guidance of, the MedGlobal Head Office and the Country Representative (CR).
Assist the program manager with providing program development, staff training and education, and best practices adherence.
Develop project work plans and budgeting for field activities associated with donor requirements and MedGlobal policies.
Conduct health facilities audits to assess the status of MedGlobal services, quality of supplies and facilities, and on-site health information systems, in accordance with MedGlobal and international standards and policies.
Monitor, evaluate, and assess the activities of clinics as per the FD-7/FD-6 and standard practices, and overcoming shortages if there are any, in coordination with the Program managers in the field.
Assist the program manager in coordinating the projects across different sites
Implement and supervise emergency response activities
Design work plans and logframes for new projects
Work with international volunteers to implement training and education programs
Help to create processes for the health facilities or any other service providing centers in Syria or Turkey or in the host community with input from the MedGlobal leadership.
FIELD ADMINISTRATION AND TRAINING
Assist the program manager to provide program development, training plans, staff training and education, and best practices for in-house and outside training programs.
Conduct clinic audits to assess the status of MedGlobal services, quality of supplies and facilities, and on-site health information systems, in accordance with MedGlobal and international standards and policies.
Provide a summary of recommended areas of improvement, areas of success, and leading the execution of an action plan with the Head Office team to evolve and make positive systems improvements where needed.
Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision for the medical team in coordination with the program manager in a manner that supports the growth of internal leadership.
Act as a resource to collect and disseminate information to potential and upcoming volunteers, including collection and distribution of required written materials.
Assist in the development of volunteer recruitment materials in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator.
MONITORING, EVALUATION AND AUDIT
Work with MedGlobal’s Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to implement M&E for the select Syria and Turkey program, specifically training programs.
Coordinate with, and acting as a liaison for, the NGOAB supervising staff, audit teams from partners, etc. as necessary.
Assist the Accounting Department for project-end and annual audits.
CONTACT, COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION
Attend regional and local sub-cluster meetings (e.g., OCHA and UN sector) in Gaziantep and/or problem-solving with our partner organizations
Maintain contact with Partner NGO(s) and INGOs, NGOs for issues including operations, staffing, and supplies, volunteer transportation and accommodation, and troubleshooting any potential solutions.
REPORTING
Complete weekly, monthly, and annual program reports, and project-specific monitoring and evaluation reports
Assist in efforts to develop, conduct, analyze, and report on research efforts in Syria and Turkey .
Perform additional duties at the request of the CR.

Education And Professional:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Degrees in health or nutrition related fields will get preference.
A minimum 7 years of progressively responsible work experience in health or nutrition services.
At least 2 years relevant experience with an international non-profit organization in a clinic, hospital, or a public health department.
At least 5 years working experience in Syria in any other emergency response project/program will be an added advantage.
