FSL Project Officer

Beyaz Eller is a non-profit welfare association licensed in Istanbul, Turkey code 064/191-34 under the name Beyaz Eller Yardımlaşma Derneği. We serve all people in need, wherever they are and regardless of their kind, gender, ethnic origin, belief, or class.

Our programs include “Food security and livelihood, SNFI, Education, Health, Protection, Sponsorship and WASH.

BE is an impartial, independent, non-profit NGO seeks to Strengthen the concept of civil society institutions, developing and training the individual to build independent society. Moreover, Strengthening the equality and equity throwing gender mainstreaming in our projects and our work.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Project Officer supports the FSL department both operationally and strategically from sub-office. He/ She will support the project manager with management and deployment FSL personnel, facilitating inter-departmental coordination, supporting program implementation and compiling reports. The position reports to the FSL Project Manager.

Hatay / Antakya

Reports to; FSL Project Manager

Key areas of responsibilities:

  • Work with FSL programme team to oversee preparation for, and implementation of, distribution process (Food Basket).
  • Collaborate with M&E team to ensure monitoring activities are in place and relevant to measure the impact of FSL projects and the quality of activities.
  • Monitor quality of documentation including beneficiary lists, receipts, monitoring templates, etc.
  • Ensure that all payment files are correct, complete, accountable, and transparent before payment.
  • Preparing food basket distribution schedules.
  • Follow up with field staff the food basket distribution activities ensuring the signatures of beneficiaries, FSL program representatives on all requested documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and levels of work assigned and are not necessarily all- inclusive

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in social or administrative sciences or any other related field.
  • Familiarity with projects implementation, monitoring the progress of WPs and closure of projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent self-motivation skills.
  • Excellent time management, follow-up, problems solving and coordination skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other general experience with software programs.
  • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful work environment.
  • Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources.
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing work environment.
  • Excellent decision-making skills.
  • Must work independently under difficult conditions.
  • excellent spoken & written Arabic and English.
  • Willing to conduct field visits to support the field team
