General Description of the Organization:
Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of conflict affected population.
Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programs, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to enable them to improve their living practices and their sustainability mechanisms.
Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the humanitarian Syrian crisis with capacity development programs, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities where we work in are ready for any future disasters.
Job purpose:
Orange’s livelihoods programming aims to build the capacities and assets of vulnerable Syrian and host community individuals to enhance their social and economic self-reliance. Program activities include counselling, provision of vocational and Turkish Language training courses, job referrals and/or provision of home-based small business grants.
Orange has identified Turkish language skills as a priority need for refugees to be able to enhance their social self-reliance and access jobs in Turkey.
The Turkish Language Trainer will deliver professional Turkish language skills to interested beneficiaries at Orange’s training centers aiming at improving their Turkish language skills to prepare them to be integrated in the labor market.
Duties, objectives, and competencies:
Overall Responsibilities
. Provide long-term professional Turkish Language training courses to all interested beneficiaries and prepare them to pass the official Turkish Language certificate TOMER up to B1 level.
. Coordinate with the Livelihood team, especially the Counselling team and Admin to organize the courses and provide the required documents
. Prepare and administer a pre-test to evaluate the level of training participants.
. Prepare and administer a post-test at the end of the course, to measure progress.
. Provide signed attendance sheets, training evaluations, syllabus, pictures, and a short narrative report, following the completion of each session.

Complete any additional tasks identified by Supervisor
Requirements:
· University degree in Turkish Teaching or Turkish Literature departments
· At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
· Experience with foreigners in teaching Turkish language
· An understanding of humanitarian/civil society issues in Turkey and the region
· Experience in humanitarian NGOs
· Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
· Good ability to communicate with the trainees using Arabic language
· Flexible, enthusiastic and willingness to learn from others.
· Strong initiative and self-motivation, with a commitment to teamwork
· Excellent skills in Turkish (written and spoken), good Arabic.
