  5. Introduction:

Olive Branch is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization registered under a legal license in Turkey, and Germany (NGO).Operating since 2012 with bases in Turkey and Germany. Working to Combat ignorance, build life and hope for the needy people through: Development, Rehabilitation, Protection and Education

This will contribute to build a society of tolerance and love confronting negative ideas that have spread in the society under the hard circumstances.

6.**Title of the project:**

Empowerment of Local CSOs and Increasing Communication and Collaboration for Effective Functioning and Representation

7. Background

The overall objective of this project is to support the development of civil society by empowering (Turkish and Syrian) CSOs at grassroot level, including enhancing their capacities and networking them together.

The capacity building program is designed to empower the local CSOs in fundamental subjects which concern them the most. These subjects are community organizing, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic analyzing and planning, policy–making, media and advocacy.

Currently coaching sessions will be carried out building on the previous above-mentioned trainings to coach the CSOs to design advocacy initiatives Report, Video Production and Promotion and communication about Women Empowerment, Disabled, Education, Art & Culture topics of their common interest topics.

8. Main Objectives:

  • Turkish and Syrian CSOs worked jointly to overcome community challenges.
  • The trust and coordination between Turkish and Syrian CSOs is increased.
  • 4 initiatives proposals developed one in each of four main interests (Women Empowerment, Disabled, Education, Art&Culture).
  • CSOs engaged and collaborated together,
  • CSOs have drawn up a sustainability plan on the back of this experience,
  • CSOs shared success stories and lessons learned.

9. Methodology:

  • Expected to coordinate with Olive Branch and the coach to resume the coaching in a mechanism that matches the previously done trainings with the targeted CSOs
  • facilitate workshops (5 working days) in the presence of coaches and representatives from CSO, Turkish and Syrian
  • Managing the workshops and controlling attendance and time so that the output is compatible with the plan
  • Assist the coach create conduct workshops that bring Turkish and Syrian CSOs together to discuss the challenges that face their communities and produce joint initiatives plan to tackle these challenges
  • Assist the coach create of the methodology and schedule.
  • Assist the coach to conduct Pre and Post-test. Assist the coach to conduct a midterm evaluation.
  • Daily Report (5 working days).
  • Set an agenda in coordination with Olive branch and the coach, materials arrangements in coordination with the coach
  • Physical presence at, and facilitation during, the workshops
  • Participation in debrief meetings and preparation of materials, reports and summarizing outcomes and recommendations

10. Deliverables

  • The activities and expected outputs are
  • Agenda and package presentations (incoordination with the coach) any related materials., trust-building activity, initiatives report assistance.
  • Attendance sheets.
  • Workshops reports.
  • Draft initiatives proposals documentation and archiving,
  • Individual and KII interviews.
  • Final initiatives proposals documentation and archiving,
  • Initiatives reports documentation and archiving,
  • Evaluation Mid-term results of initiatives,
  • Final report on the implementation of the workshops.

11. Duration and time frame

  • The sessions will be expected to be conducted over 6 weeks starting on January 2022 to end by mid-February 2022.
  • The sessions will discuss 7 topics over 5 days (full days).
  • The working days are expected to be during weekends (Saturdays & Sundays on dates to be set later).

12. Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum university degree in Social Science/ Business Administration /Political/ Media or another relevant field.
  • Extensive experience (at least 2 years) experience in facilitating workshops
  • Knowledge of the civil society sector in Turkey.
  • Experience on building trust, audience control.
  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism and an ability to work independently and in high pressure situations under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills including experience of facilitation of workshop and presentation.
  • Language can be Turkish or Arabic.
  • Turkish nationality.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
  • Design actions.
  • Effective team building and motivation skills
