As a member of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, the
position holder will play a key role in Badael´ s success. The Program Manager will lead the program
team and contribute to building their technical capacities to design and plan interventions, develop
programs and manage their implementation. The successful candidate will also oversee the
Monitoring and Evaluation activities while working closely with the Finance, Fundraising and
Communication teams, as well as our partners and donors.
Responsibilities
Design and plan programs´ activities: develop concept notes, log-frames, budgets, risk
assessment and mitigation and deliver comprehensive proposals, in accordance with Badael´s
mission and the donor´s requirements.
Facilitate discussions and create tools (e.g. questionnaire, trackers) to alleviate collecting and
organizing inputs from different parties and conclude detailed plans for moving forward.
Lead programs´ implementation and deliver milestones in close collaboration with our partners
and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with the Finance, Fundraising and Communication teams regarding managing
operations and communication with stakeholders as well as programing interventions and
applying for grants, as they relate to the progress and completion of the program.
Establish performance measures, collect and analyze performance information, planning and
managing evaluations, and use the performance information for decision-making and resource
allocation.
Contribute to developing Badael´s strategies, policies and action plans where needed.
Spearhead the development of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for programs and
projects with standard procedures and process to ensure credible, reliable, timely and cost
effective monitoring data to inform ongoing management decisions, strategic planning
Coordinate all Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) capacity-building activities with project staff,
implementing partners and other stakeholders;
Prepare programs progress reports (Monthly and Quarterly) based on a structured M&E plan.
Develop a detailed plan: monthly, quarterly, yearly, and multi-year jointly with Badael’s
management.
Produce high quality narrative reports for donors and partners
Provide leadership and establish and maintain harmonious working relations with all those
involved in the program and support building the capacities of the programs team.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in economics, political science, social science or relevant fields.
No less than 5 years’ experience working in program/ project management in non- profit sector
and/or international development programs.
Excellent knowledge in the Syrian context and of Syrian Civil society.
Arabic as a mother tongue, Syrian dialect proficiency needed.
Demonstrated ability in data analysis, project design, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of
development activities.
Experience developing results frameworks, logical frameworks, or similar tools for project
design is required.
Must have excellent verbal and written English and Arabic skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Well-organized, detailed-oriented and capable of handling confidential information with utmost
discretion.
Self-motivated, disciplined and able to think strategically.
