General Description of the Organization:
Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating the suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population.
Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering humanitarian and development programmes, Food Security, Livelihood, Education, and Protection, to improve their living practices and sustainability mechanisms.
Orange also collaborates with national and international non-governmental organizations, local initiatives responding to the Syrian humanitarian crisis with capacity development programmes, to be better equipped with the skills they need to prepare and respond to affected population’s needs and to ensure that these communities, which we work within, are ready for any future disasters.
Job Purpose:
Orange Organization aims to build the capacities of 4300 teachers and education personnel in the Euphrates Sheild Area in Syria through providing comprehensive training opportunities and sessions.
The Training Assistant will work within Orange team and will be supervised by the education project manager to plan for the training and supervise the conducted training sessions to the education personnel, including all required follow-up and administrative works that ensure high quality of training.
Duties, objectives and competencies:
· Cooperate with the line manager to set a training plan using the available resources.
· Identify the required training topics with the assistance of the project manager and technical education team.
· Contribute to the development of training materials in coordination with the project manager and project team to ensure that Orange’s quality terms and conditions are met.
· Contribute to the procurement activities by submitting the purchase orders of the training requirements and following up with the team until delivery ends.
· Ensure that trainers are delivering the training to the participants with full adherence to Orange’s training courses terms, conditions, and quality measures.
· Ensure the completion of training documentation, including attendance sheets, and pre-tests, final evaluation, media products, etc.
· Prepare and write periodic comprehensive reports about training sessions and results, including the overall performance and progress, challenges, lessons learned, charts, etc
· Contribute the Media coverage of the conducted training in coordination with the Media team.
· Communicate and follow up with the trainers and respond to all possible inquiries and questions.
· Communicate and follow up with Orange field team and provide the required operational and technical support with the supervision of the project manager.
· Work closely with the MEAL team on the timely monitoring and evaluation of relevant components – data, analysis reports, surveys, beneficiary feedback about activities, complaints, etc
· Ensure that training sessions are highly practical (group work and practical exercises with examples and scenarios), and correspond with the needs and existing capacities of the participants in order to allow them to directly apply their knowledge in the field during their actual works and duties.
· Liaise with the Turkish governmental bodies to share updates and progress about the project and communicate with local authorities in Syria to keep all work coordinated and organized.
· Undertake any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the SMT
Requirements:
· Education, pedagogy, classroom management, or business administration relevant field of study;
· At least one year of proven work experience in training programs, including planning, implementation, facilitation, and reporting;
· Excellent proven technical knowledge;
· Strong communication skills, including the ability to coordinate with multiple parties and external stakeholders;
· Sound judgment and ability to make impartial recommendations;
· Fluency in Arabic and good English language skills (spoken, written, and reading). The Turkish language will be an asset;
· Experience delivering capacity building and training is a must;
· Experience in learning materials development is preferred;
· Adhere fully to the commitments and rules of Orange’s Code of Conduct;
