In West Bank/ Gaza “WBG”, CARE is recognized for its commitment to the humanitarian protection and action, women and youth economic empowerment, with a focus on gender transformative programming, to ensure that rights are secured, and human potential fulfilled for all. CARE International established a presence in Palestine in 1948, created in the wake of the Palestinian refugee crisis. Over seventy years later, CARE’s scope of work has evolved through support activities, which promote stability and economic opportunities, and in addressing a range of humanitarian needs.
In alignment with its Country Office (CO) strategy and programmatic goals, in 2018, CARE WBG started to implement ‘Women and Youth Entrepreneurs Leading Change’ or OBADER project, focusing on economic empowerment and gender transformative programming**.** OBADER project’s main goal is to enhance the economic empowerment and increase the prosperity of low-income women and/or female and male youth as entrepreneurs and employees in central and south of West Bank and Gaza (WBG). Implementation of the project is carried out via an integrated partnership with four partners in both West Bank and Gaza. The OBADER project strategy, approach, and project implementation plan guarantee mutual learning within the project, organization and among its partners.
Under OBADER project, CARE WBG is planning a learning event to advance the capacity of the CO’s Programs teams; including projects’ team members and partners, about Private Sector Engagement in Entrepreneurship Programs. Furthermore, it provides a forum for exchange of information, coordination, sharing learnings, and discussing challenges and opportunities. For this purpose, CARE WBG is seeking a consultant/ frim with an advanced experience in private sector, expert with a focus on Economics, Women’s Economic Empowerment, Value Chain, MSMEs, Market-Based Approaches, Climate Change Adaptations, and Theory of Change to facilitate a learning event/workshop on Private Sector Engagement in Women Entrepreneurship Programs.
