Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is seeking a talented illustrator and graphic designer to help design and produce high-quality graphical and informational materials for its Conflict Preparedness & Protection (CPP) programme. NPA’s global CPP programme focuses on giving civilians in conflict-affected countries the knowledge and skills they need to keep themselves and their families safe during times of war. The programme relies on the production and dissemination of awareness and instructional materials for providing safety training to beneficiaries in countries like Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq. The Illustrator / Graphic Designer position will be dedicated to the design and production of these types of awareness materials, including but not limited to: educational/training reference materials, instruction manuals, leaflets, brochures, posters, web graphics.
Requirements:
The position is based in Gaziantep.
· Turkish citizen. Syrian residents in Turkey also welcome to apply.
· Excellent illustration and graphic design skills (as demonstrated in one’s portfolio).
· Expert level knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related graphic design software.
· Experience in computer animation and/or video production is a strong advantage.
· Fluency in English. Arabic is a strong asset.
· Ability to work with Arabic typography.
· Creative and innovative thinker.
· High sense of responsibility.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
· Positive and communicative attitude.
· Desire to work in a small, energetic, and action-oriented team working to improve the humanitarian situation inside Syria and other conflict-affected countries.
Responsibilities:
Specific description:
· Developing visual ideas that suit programmatic needs.
· Using illustration and graphic design skills to produce attractive and compelling educational/training reference materials, leaflets, brochures, posters, pamphlets, web graphics, and other graphical materials as needed.
· Ability to replicate / emulate various illustration techniques in order to maintain design consistency between previously produced materials and those to be produced.
· Adapting and editing educational and promotional materials that have been produced in the past.
· Continuous work with project management to develop designs and products, seeking approval at all stages of development and making any changes as required, right up to completion of each job.
· Fulfill other tasks that may be assigned to him/her by line management.

This position requires a high level of expertise and skill in illustration and graphic design.
