- Contribute to the development of overall ERL & CCCM project implementation strategy, systems, approaches, tools, and materials(applicable).
- Develop and implement activities in NW Syria.
- In collaboration with the project team and coordination, determine the strategic direction of the project in the short and medium term and map out activities, and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and budgets as necessary,
Project Implementation Follow-up, team management
To Prepare and regularly update projects' monthly work plans and schedules that support the achievement of program targets within projects timelines.
Ensure planned activities are implemented according to POINT’s quality standards and SoPs.
Ensure projects implementation is on time, within target, and within budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts.
Conduct technical evaluation and quality checks on project materials as applicable.
Provide relevant technical expertise/guidance to ensure that technical quality and standards are maintained during project implementation.
Provide input and regularly review all OPERATION Follow-Up for an ongoing project together with the relevant department manager and Filed Project Coordinator.
Submit accurate and detailed reports on technical activities conducted.
Be responsible for the management of technical officers and for ensuring that all field teams are comprehensively briefed on the objective, expected output, and overall implementation strategy of any given activity.
Ensure that technical officers and other project/field staff are given training and complete all the necessary documentation in line with project requirements.
Submit the necessary reports to Donors / Authorities / Coordination bodies.
He/she will be expected to provide reports covering activity implementation, achievement of objectives, successes/ challenges, beneficiary feedback, etc. Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to line manager and donors.
Plan, coordinate and oversee staff plans.
Anticipate and mitigate risks and troubleshoot any unforeseen challenges during the project implementation.
- Ensure project records and documents (Flat files, beneficiary list, donation certificates, attendance sheets etc.) are adequately prepared, compiled, and filed according to POINT procedures.
- Ensure that each member of the project team is aware of security issues, policies, SOPs, and they follow them accordingly.
Work closely with field teams on objectives, indicators and activities and develop clear monitoring frameworks for each program in collaboration with the M & E Officers
drafting of (external) project progress reports, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information provided.
- Performing and implementing any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Finance
- Review the spending plan(s) and provide accurate forecasts with BOQs
- Forecast monthly cash requirements of the project and submit to Finance Manager.
Logistics
- Contribute to the development of Procurement plans
- Contribute to quality checks and procurement committees to finalize suppliers’ selection according to the applicable scenario
- Confirm the quality of material selection when applicable
- Ensure proper management and use of the project assets and stocks
Administration/HR
- Participate in the recruitment of technical staff (development of organigrams, ToRs, elaborating the tests and reviewing them, interviews etc.) - Ensure that project staff understand and can perform their roles and responsibilities. - Follow up the work plans and day-to-day activities of the project staff - Manage the project staff in cooperation with the CEO - Ensure a positive working environment and good team dynamics - Undertake regular appraisals of staff and follow career management - Manage interpersonal conflicts - Ensure capacity building among staff in relevant sectors - Adhere to all point organization policies and abide by administrative orders and disciplinary procedures in the event of any violations. - A pledge to abide by the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the Point organization in cases of sexual exploitation and abuse, and direct reporting in the event of any violation.
Quality Control
- Assess the activities undertaken and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure lessons learned are documented, shared, and reflected in project planning and decision making
- Ensure quality control, analysis of added value and impact, identification and capitalization on best practices and lessons learnt and provide relevant feedback for new project development.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Economics, Finance, humanitarian field, or other related fields
- Experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM)
- At least three years of work experience, with relevant tasks, and good knowledge of the humanitarian aid system with a special focus on Community community-based projects.
- Proven experience in working with multilateral and bilateral donors is a must, in particular with IOM and UN agencies.
- Knowledge or Previous experience in ERL & CCCM activities will be an added value.
- Previous experience in remote project management.
- High interpersonal skills with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving and management.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Good command of MS office programs.
- Turkish Nationality is a must.
