About Horan Foundation

HORAN FOUNDATION is a Syrian-focused non-profit organization working in Syria and countries of asylum with no discrimination. Through emergency interventions, meeting their basic needs, and implementing highly competent community development programs.
HORAN FOUNDATION was established with the escalation of the Syrian crisis at the beginning of 2012 in Jordan and registered in Turkey in 2014 and Switzerland in 2016, where it started as a group of friends to provide emergency humanitarian assistance in Daraa and its countryside. Since then, HORAN FOUNDATION has developed to become one of the largest organizations supporting the Syrian people, through the implementation of 350 projects that helped the lives of more than 10 million beneficiaries throughout the Syrian territory and neighboring countries of asylum, and also contributed to the establishment of the Platform of Syrian Associations (Minber Suriye), one of the most important coordination platforms for humanitarian workers in the Syrian affairs. It has a membership of the NGO Forum and membership in Syrian Networks and membership in the Forum for the Voice of the Displaced Syrians.

Overall Purpose:

The finance assistant will record financial transactions on the accounting software, prepare the finance reports for the ongoing projects, and sending to the finance manager in HQ. Follow up on suppliers’ contracts and payments with the finance manager in HQ, Compliance with the finance manual of the organization.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Record the financial transactions on the accounting software.
Follow up on the suppliers’ payments with the finance manager in HQ.
Translating documents from Arabic to Turkish and English and vice versa.
Comply with the Finance manual and SOPs.
Preparing the financial reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Preparing the project's financial reports monthly.
Coordinating with the concerned authorities to complete the archiving process.
Other information tasks requested by the main manager.
Following up with the legal accountant to extract the monthly taxes and social insurance for employees.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or related fields.

- 2 years of experience in general Turkish laws.

- Proficiency in working on Microsoft Office programs

- Proficiency in accounting software

- Advanced level in Turkish, and Arabic.
