JOB CONTEXT :
While considerable relief efforts are deployed by Government of Turkey and its humanitarian partners (UN and NGOs) to support refugees with a wide range of services, HI needs assessments conducted from October 2015 to January 2016 identified critical gaps to be addressed in terms of access to livelihoods opportunities and services, notably as far as rehabilitation services and psychosocial support are concerned, for people affected psychologically and/or physically by the crisis and their household.
YOUR MISSION:
Under the management of the project coordinator, and in close collaboration with the technical advisors and the community-based team and potential partners:
He/she will ensure the implementation and development of a qualitative strategy of intervention for the mental health and psychosocial support, focusing on the MHPSS community-based intervention.
Tasks and responsibilities :
- Ensure with the support of the Technical Unit, the implementation and development of projects in your area,
- Define and formalize methodology and work plan;
- Ensure the proper use of the data collection tools that you developed;
- Analyze regularly the adequacy of the community-based intervention with the needs and resources of the communities targeted and mitigate the intervention when needed.
- Ensure the continuous training of the MHPSS staff on technical aspects of the MHPSS community-based intervention is provided by the technical advisors
- Ensure regular field visits, along with the technical advisors, on outreach intervention areas
- Support the partner in the recruitment and management of the team;
- Define and organize the technical support to be provided to the community based team;
- Ensure a monthly follow-up on indicators and provide regular reporting on your activities;
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE :
Mandatory: Spoken and written proficiency in English and Turkish. Arabian is an asset
Proven project management experience
At least 2 years of professional experience in accompaniment of vulnerable people or in the humanitarian field, preferably on the field of vulnerability and/or disability and/or Community-based approach
Ability in team management
Experience in adult trainings
Proven managerial experience
Desirable :
- Experience in social cohesion and/or community mobilization and/or conflict management
- MHPSS skills
- Capacity to analyze a complex project environment aiming at strategic outcomes
Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel) and internet
Strong communication and reporting skills;
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills;
Open and interested in disability and vulnerability issues High diplomacy, cultural sensitivity and security awareness;
Ability to work under high pressure and without constant supervision;

CONDITIONS:
• Turkish residence permit

• Length of the contract: 12 months
