Syria Relief & Development (SRD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing humanitarian aid to Syrians affected by violence, hunger, poverty, injury, and displacement. Our Mission is to provide crisis humanitarian relief and plant the seeds of sustainable development for the people of Syria. Our Vision is to maintain humanitarian relief and mobilize resources to develop a comprehensive agenda for sustainable development in Syria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Health Projects Manager, senior management and field teams to determine the operational needs of the medical program within the scope of the grants.
- Collaborate with Health Projects Manager authorities and relevant international health agencies for the development of an approved curriculum to meet training needs and implement those plans through the management team and field teams.
- Work with Local health authorities and international agencies such as WHO to ensure implementation of standardized national health information systems.
- Work with Health Projects Manager, field team, partnering agencies and national health authorities for outbreak preparedness and contingency planning.
- Work with management team to draft concepts for future funding following the protocols and formats of each relevant donor.
- Work with field teams and logistics and the procurement department in a timely manner to ensure adequate supply based on site consumption while adhering to national protocols and program budgets.
- Attend health coordination meetings as well as other coordination meetings which are relevant to country programs.
- Represent the organization at task force meetings, assessment missions, camp coordination meetings.
- Maintain frequent communication with Country Director or Health Project Manager to ensure program activities and objectives are communicated.
- Work with Director of operation and Logistics staff to ensure the coordination of programs supplies are within budgeted targets.
- Ensures application and compliance of security protocols and policies.
- Any other relevant tasks upon the request of Direct Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Masters Microsoft Office “Excel, Word and PowerPoint”.
- At least 2 years’ experience in health project management in NGOs.
- Ability to remotely manage others.
- Adherence to Timelines.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work with others and to work under pressure.
- BSc in medicine, Pharmacy, or other medical field.
