Turkey: Warehouse Worker

  • Assist the Warehouse Assistant in assembling and prepositioning outgoing items

based on approved GIOs in a timely and responsible manner

  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner and ensure that all items in a

truck are stored and fastened in such a manner as to avoid damage of goods

  • Assist the Warehouse Assistants in storing and arranging all incoming items under the supervision of the Warehouse Officer and according to IMC rules and regulations
  • Rearrange the warehouse according to plans communicated by supervisor
  • Ensure that the warehouse is in excellent condition at all times and participate in

proper care and maintenance of all property and stores, including thorough cleanings of the inside and outside premises

  • Comply to safety instructions displayed by signed in the warehouse, or requested by Warehouse Officer/ Logistics Manager
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
  • Other duties as required and deemed appropriate by supervisor
  • Adhere to IMC Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian

principles.

Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Minimum High School degree, with ability to read and write.
  • Valid truck license and fork lift license is a plus
  • Ability to multitask, think creatively and work with little supervision in an often stressful environment
  • At least one year experience working in warehouse
  • Language: Advanced in English is a plus
  • Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The employee should be able to stand, sit, use hands, talk, see and hear. Specific vision
  • abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 Kg.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office®, especially MS Excel® and MS Word® is a plus No active criminal record
