Turkey: GBV & Mental Health Coordinator (Turkey- Gazi Entap)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Preferred university degree in Social Work, Psychiatry or other field of study offering expertise in Gender Based Violence prevention.

General Work Experience:

At least 3 years relevant related experience, preferably with international organizations in the Protection sector, and reporting for, complex projects. Past work with international donor funded programs preferred.

Skills :

  • Languages : Good in Arabic / Fluent in English (Writing-Reading-Speaking)
  • Computing :
  • Microsoft Excel (essential for reporting).
  • Microsoft word (essential for reporting).
  • Other Database Applications.
  • Analytical and reporting skills.
  • Time management.

Abilities :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to tailor language, tone, style and format to match the audience;
  • Respect confidentiality standards and the dignity of beneficiaries, demonstrating and safeguarding ethics and integrity.
  • Familiarity with case-management systems and databases.
  • Familiarity with human rights and gender related protection issues especially focused on violence, exploitation and abuse of girls, boys and women.
  • Excellent organizational skills, independent, disciplined, with initiative and an ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring project are implemented in line with GBV & mental Health standards and in collaboration with GBV staff members.
  • Ensuring logistical preparation of meeting and activities and Identifying, engaging and coordinating activities.
  • Developing and implementing research agenda and facilitating the research; including and not limited to coordination of research, analysis, consultancy, policy formulation, and advocacy and lobbying activities.
  • Participation in development and implementation of organization strategies including monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensuring capacity building of staff skills and clear communication and understanding of GBV policy positions.
  • Mobilizing and facilitating training on GBV and other relevant areas.
  • Ensure weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual narrative reports to the project manager.
