Education Consultant (m/f)
in South East Turkey
This posting concerns a short-time assignment of 21 days working for Welthungerhilfe in a freelance capacity. Places of operation are in provinces in the south-east of Turkey.
Objectives and responsibilities of the position
Your most important duties are as follows:
- Assess the (largely primary education) status and needs of Syrian and Iraqi, non-camp refugees in South East Turkey
- Research the education situation of Syrian and Iraqi refugees in provinces in the south-east of Turkey
- Explore existing education opportunities / challenges for these groups in the region, including official policy, government
- Outline interventions where WHH may consider working
- Produce report detailing research findings <30 pages
Your qualifications will include:
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in the education sector
- University degree, ideally in international development/international relations/education
- Experience conducting primary research
- Good application and report writing skills
- Ability to work in a team consisting of local staff
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, Turkish and/or Arabic is a bonus
