ARK Group DMCC delivers stabilisation, development and conflict transformation programming in some of the most challenging locations in the world, from the Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon and rural Yemen to Syria, where for the past five years ARK has been at the forefront of the response to the conflict. Working for governmental donors, ARK has supported conflict-affected communities on the ground.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help generating and researching ideas for programmes and pitching for commissions
• Developing content for 3 sections of Syrian Waves radio show, writing and narrating a 2 minutes report about the main subject of the episode, and bulletins
• Sourcing potential contributors and interviewees and establish communications with them
• Producing pre-production briefings for involved contributors
• Converting text, graphics, video and audio files into other formats
• Coordinating with multiple radio stations regarding airing time and maintaining a constant follow through with them.
• Establishing contact with radio stations for potential cooperation
• Contributing to, and making use of, an archive of audio and video resources which can be reused
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent written and oral communications skills

• Good organizational skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
• Awareness of current affairs and good general knowledge
• A lively mind, able to make connections between different ideas and subjects
• The ability to get to grips with new subject matter quickly
• Willingness to embrace new technology and learn technical skills
• Self-confidence, persistence and determination to overcome adversities
• Minimum three years’ experience in TV/Radio production.
• Arabic language proficiency, written and spoken
• Proven experience in research methods for radio programs
