Operations Intern

Purpose: To assist Operations team

Location: Gaziantep, Turkey
Period: 3-6 months
Expenses: $300/month (To be used for monthly accommodation rental OR living expenses – sufficient for one month for either)
About the organization
Trust Consultancy and Development is an independent research and capacity development consultancy based in Turkey, providing a range of services to the whole of the MENA region. Our dedicated team aspires to provide a range of expert services to international and local NGOs, businesses, donors and third parties with vested interests in different aspects of development and humanitarian action.
Our work addresses the growing demand for a range of third party research and capacity building services and our clients include Save the Children, People in Need, World Vision, Norwegian Refugee Council and Samaritan’s Purse. Currently, we are working in Syria, Turkey and Iraq with our head office based in Gaziantep, Turkey with a plan to extend operations throughout the whole of the MENA region.

This particular role offers the opportunity of working with a Syrian field team and international office team, learning how to to complete high quality qualitative and quantitative research in extremely challenging circumstances. Your job role will offer you the opportunity to gain experience working with some of the biggest NGOs and development organizations, taking part in a range of research projects from inception to completion. As a capacity development organization, we also offer the opportunity for you to take part in training programs underway during your internship. At the end of your internship, there may be opportunities to further develop with us as we grow. Alternatively, our connections are wide-reaching and our interns will have access to this network via Trust. We will provide a full review at the end of your internship and a letter of recommendation.
Main duties andresponsibilities:**
1- Support staff members in M&E programs
2- Assist with the development and test of forms and questionnaires for data collection
3- Translation of tools from and to Arabic and English
4- send the plan to the field And follow-up it
5- Receive all files from the field and check them
6- write the daily report and final report about data collection in field
7- Ensure implementation of the plan
8- Write minutes of meetings with external stakeholders such as meetings with partners and clients
9- Help in some training facilitation
10- Support the team through various administrative duties
Qualifications: the candidate should
1- Hold a University degree in a relevant field, preferably MA qualified or MA student in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development or other related field.
2- Demonstrate an understanding of development/ humanitarian sector
3- Speak English fluently; Arabic Kurdish or French are advantages
4- Have an ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines
5- Have very good organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
6- Be able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
7- Have very good writing and editing skills in English (Arabic or Kurdish an advantage)
8- Have good research skills
9- Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft word
10- Have good communication skills and team work skills
