Baytna Syria was launched in 2013 as a networking, training, and grant-making facility for Syrian civil society organizations, offering support to CSOs based inside Syria and the neighbouring countries.
Baytna Syria is seeking to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (MEO) to implementproject monitoring and evaluation frameworks, provide sound analysis and insure adequate and timely reporting

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively engage with Grants Program team to compile information on their activities, updating and managing the information coming through.
Update and compile Field Visit Reports to come up with a unified report on weekly basis, in addition to updating the Report Form as needed.
Review and follow up on the Means of Verification coming from the field teams.
In coordination with the line manager, develop monitoring tools and update the Data Collection tool as needed.
Taking full responsibility on managing the Accountability (CRM) System and reporting accordingly.
Participate in preparing the needed reporting scheme, communication with Field Team and other stakeholders of the project on M&E related issues.
Update the M&E indicator tracking sheets for all programs and projects.
In coordination with the Capacity Building Team, prepare and update the needed M&E Tools including the Data Collection tools.
Prepare and update the pre-set analysis tools, and prepare the post trainings reports.
Continues follow up and coordination with the field team to get the latest project updates.
Participate in the coordination meetings internally and/or externally as needed.
Coordinate with the line manager to update and conduct the M&E Framework regularly.
Participate on the Learning Sessions facilitation and reporting.
Be the primary focal point in developing and maintaining project’s M&E activities, in addition to the conducted Monitoring and Evaluation tools.
Become the primary analyst for weekly data, monitoring trends and highlighting concerns.
Support coordination, analysis and draft findings for Turkey Program surveys as well as multi sector assessments, generic surveys and evaluations as needed.
Coordinate with Project team and line manager to review weekly/monthly data submissions from each project, including M&E plans per partner as well as project achievement tools and update M&E dashboard
Develop analysis and top line reports for the program activities to be communicated with internal and external stakeholders.
Support the sector team(s) in donor reporting with accurate figures.
Maintain the confidentially of the documents/system and their contents
Maintain filing system for data in soft and hard copies.
Perform other duties and act for the line manager as required
Qualifications
· At least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering / statistics / business management or any other relevant field of study
· At least 3 years of professional work experience in designing and executing project management frameworks, preferably in development programmes
· Excellent experience in data collection and analysis, data management and reporting
· Ability to work in a team and to sometimes tight deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
· Very good mastering of English and Arabic (both verbal and written)
· Excellent knowledge of and expertise in logframes, theory of change, monitoring and evaluation toolbox
· Ability to communicate with people outside the organisation, representing the organisation to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail
· Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
· Commitment to the aims and principles of Baytna Syria. In particular, a good understanding of the Baytna Syria mandate and Theory of Change.
· Ability to create new ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including creative contributions
· Proficient in use of computer applications related to the tasks
· Experience of working with local NGOs, INGOs and government bodies would be an advantage
