General Task
Implementing and monitoring the logistic and the procurement side of the plan, purchasing plan in term of following up and contacting the warehouses’ keepers, field Logistics officers and other employees.
Key Responsibilities
A.Key Responsibilities – Logistics:
- To supervise Syria Field logistics teams, Warehouse Keepers, and build their capacity.
- To suggest and submit the logistics and procurement plans of the operations department.
- To supervise on logistics and supplying implementation of the operations department.
- To keep an accurate and updated database for all warehouses, suppliers and services provider.
- To keep an accurate and updated database for transportations services.
a.Sub Responsibilities:
- To develop and prepare the logistics documentation system and templates.
- To Implement procurement and logistics procedures and documentations.
- To keep an accurate the documentations in order ensure their availability and accessibility in both hard & scan copies.
- To prepare logistics work progress reports for all activities in Turkey and inside Syria.
B.Key Responsibilities – Procurement:
- To prepare the PRs according to programs needs .
- To collect the RFQs according to the PRs .
- To contact the suppliers to make sure that all the important documents are prepared.
- To prepare the contract in case we need it according to the procurement manuel .
- To provide the OPS manager with the monthly report.
- To insure that all the documents are archived according to PRs num.
C.In Kind Materials related Tasks:
- To Be the focal point & the responsible for logistics side of in Kind Materials.
- To follow up receiving the In-Kind Materials at the borders.
- To follow up ensuring the quantities and qualities of the goods / commodities.
- To follow up Customs clearance and ensuring the delivery inside Syria (from borders to warehouses)
Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
A.Essential:**
- Bachelor degree related to economey or business administration or any related field.
- 5 years of experience in Logistics & procurement, 3 years with NGOs.
- Good command of English language.
B.Desirable:
- Good command of Turkish language.
- Master degree related to economey or business administration or any related field.
- Experience in supply chain management.
